About Us

At Birchington on Sea WI (Morning) group we aim to work together to provide friendship and light-hearted education for any woman eligible to join. 

Our main meeting takes place on the first Tuesday of the month from 10-12, at Church House, Kent Gardens CT7 9RS. The hall is easy to access and and there is a large car park for visitors.

Our meetings are fun and usually include a speaker or activity and plenty of tea, coffee and cake. We hold a fun annual competition to win the BoSWI cup. The only month when we don't meet at the hall on the first Tuesday is August, when we host an outside social event, as well as a coach trip.

We also meet for coffee every third Tuesday of the month (except August) from 10.00-11.45, upstairs at The Minnis Bay, Birchington CT7 9QP (just get in touch to let us know that you are coming) There is a lift available, please make sure that you buy your scone or cake with a coffee or tea before you come up!

We have a cinema group (which uses our local independent cinema, The Carlton) and a very friendly craft group, Yarn Over Yarn, which meets on the fourth Tuesday of every month (please contact the secretary).

Our private members’ Facebook group is for full members and we also have a public Facebook group for anyone who has interest in being part of our community, sharing in our news and joining in with any events we are running. You can request to join here(www.facebook.com/groups/731011374731809/).
